About Us

As Manan Shah adjusted to online schooling, he realized that many other students shared the same challenges that he was facing with the unexpected transition. Through his experiences in Boy Scouts over the past decade and his service as the Vice President of a local teen volunteer conservation unit, giving back has always been one of Manan’s core values. He thought of recruiting volunteer high school students to provide free virtual tutoring to K-8 students. Realizing that he could lead this effort more effectively with a partner, Manan brought on his friend Linda Liu to transform this idea into a reality. Linda Liu is one of Manan’s classmates at John P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. Given her love for giving back to her town and school community through active positions in student council, participation in dance charities, and volunteering at her local summer camp, she saw this as an opportunity to help relieve stress in her community and gladly agreed to partner with Manan.

​To both of them, this was something that would be extremely beneficial to the community in such a time of need. Initially, they thought that even if they could help one person, their mission would be achieved; soon, they realized that they had the potential to help many more people. That’s when they cofounded LimitlessMinds Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that matches K-8 students with volunteer tutors in their community to provide free 1:1 virtual tutoring. To date, all of our tutors are high school students who volunteer their time. Even though it started as a way to ease the transition to online schooling, LimitlessMinds will continue providing free tutoring well after schools reopen!
